Welcome to Eastern Christian School!

Eastern Christian School is a parent controlled Pre-kindergarten – Grade 12 school, founded in 1892 to serve the children of Christian families in Northern New Jersey. Today Eastern Christian serves 750 students from nearly 600 families and 145 Christian churches in the New York Metropolitan area.

At Eastern Christian, we believe that God is sovereign over all of creation and that our mission is to equip young people to lead lives of Christian vision and influence in His service. We accomplish this mission by:

• Engaging the mind – we strive to achieve academic excellence as an offering to our God, helping each student recognize the gifts that they possess and developing these gifts to the best of their ability. From learning letters and numbers in Preschool to advanced high school classes offered for college credit, Eastern Christian is renowned for its exceptionally high quality, cutting edge academic programs.

• Nurturing the spirit – we have the awesome responsibility of partnering with parents and churches to instruct our students in the Christian faith and lead them into lives of discipleship and service. Classes led by mature Christian teachers, daily classroom devotions and prayer, student led worship and small group study all contribute to the spiritual nurture of our students.

• Transforming the world – we are called to help our students recognize God’s call to serve Him by serving others as servant leaders in their families, churches, communities and around the world. For more than a century, Eastern Christian students and alumni have been Christian leaders of vision and influence in virtually every area of human endeavor – a true force for good around the world.
