Eastern Christian Recommended for System-wide Accreditation

The Eastern Christian School community learned last week that Eastern Christian is being recommended for system-wide, Preschool – Grade 12, accreditation. The recommendation was made by an eight member visiting team of educators representing the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools following a four day visit conducted from April 19-22.

Last week's visit was the conclusion of a two-year effort by several dozen members of the Eastern Christian community, which included a detailed self-assessment of our school and the development of a strategic road map for the educational program of our school for the next seven years. The Middle States visiting team, made up of eight educators from schools in Maryland and Pennsylvania, conducted interviews with a broad cross- section of the Eastern Christian community, including students, parents, Board members, faculty, staff and administrators. The team also conducted a comprehensive review of Eastern Christian's strategic plans, policies and procedures in reaching its recommendation.

We are grateful for the dedicated effort and hard work of the many team members who fulfilled numerous critically important roles, for the many prayers raised by members of our school community, and especially for the Lord's blessing on this venture.
