Annual Fund

At Eastern Christian, we recognize that the parents of our students are unable to carry the full cost of operating our school.  Parent tuition currently accounts for approximately 70% of this cost.  The remaining 30% is to be raised via a number of community fundraisers, sponsorships and events.  A major event used to bridge the gap between income and expenses is the Eastern Christian Annual Fund.  The Annual Fund consists of a direct mailing to our entire constituency generally during the month of September followed by a Business Drive in the month of October of each year.  Additionally several long standing and successful fund raising events such as the annual auction in April and the golf outing in May together with several lesser events, make up the full compliment of the Annual Fund.

Eastern Christian is extremely grateful for the support we receive each year for the Annual Fund, which insures a Christ-centered education to many students who, under normal circumstances, would not be able to attend our school.

Each year we establish an Annual Fund goal and designate most of the funds raised for Scholarship Assistance Awards that are normally included in our operating budget.  These funds are vital and will help keep this transformational education affordable for Christian families from a broad array of backgrounds.

Christian Education Day

At Eastern Christian School we join with all member schools of Christian Schools International to celebrate Christian Education Day each year.  This annual focus on Christian Education is an opportunity for all supporters of Christian Education to confirm their support with a financial gift.

As generations of students, alumni, parents and grandparents have found, an Eastern Christian education gives students a deeper understanding of the Scriptures and guides us how to train our children to live, what values to impart and how to nurture their faith.  The choice of who will assist us in this task is more important today than ever before.

God, by His grace, has preserved the heritage of Christian education at Eastern Christian since 1892 so that we indeed can lay claim to the fact that our foundation was built on The Rock, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Christian Education Day is a day to celebrate testimonials about the benefits of a Christian education and to encourage all of us to renew our financial commitment to support our local Christian School of behalf of our own children and grandchildren as well as our neighbor’s children.  Please join with us to celebrate Christian education by responding generously when you are asked for your support on Christian Education Day this year.
