8 ½ Days
We are focused on the finish line now. Thank you for your involvement and encouragements in imploring your student to finish well as she gives her very best right up to and through the finish.
In this penultimate Home Bulletin, I want to highlight our special end of the year events:
Summer Assignments
Once again this summer we will be giving assignments for all returning students in Reading and Mathematics. Students who will be entering grades 5-8 will receive more information about those summer assignments in the next couple of weeks. We will be posting all the details on our website at www.easternchristian.org.
Save the Dates:
Tissues Needed! Please send in a box of tissues with your child on Monday. These last few weeks of allergies have completely depleted our supply. Thank you!
Calendar Change: On Thursday, June 16, there will be a half day of school. School will be dismissed at 12 noon.
Campbells Labels & Box Tops: Continue collecting box tops and Campbell's labels over the summer. This school year we collected $680 from box tops and 12,800 Campbell's points, and we used our Campbell's points to buy 8 iPod shuffles! Thank you to all who participated!
The second grade at Eastern Christian Elementary School is looking for used mathematics tools to fill their Math Facts Center in classrooms. They are collecting toys, games, handheld devices, videos, cds, flashcards, and anything else that will allow children to practice math facts. If you have any "stuff" your children have outgrown and would like to donate it, you may bring it to either the elementary or middle school. Thanks for anything you can help with!
