NO SCHOOL - Memorial Day
All-School Picnic Friday afternoon (5/25) is our annual all-school picnic from 12:15-2:50 sponsored by the Senior Class. There will be great food, music, kickball tournament, slip n' slide, and tug-of-war! Note you will not be meeting for your block 1 class. The schedule for the day will be as follows:
8:10 - 9:25 Block 2
9:25 - 9:35 Break
9:35 - 10:50 Block 3
10:50 - 11:00 Break
11:00 - 12:15 Block 4
12:15 - 2:50 Picnic
2:50 - 3:00 Clean up and wash off
No one will be allowed to enter the school unless they are clean and dry. If you are going to participate in the tug-of-war and/or the slip n' slide you MUST bring a towel to school.
Girls: No bathing suits—you must wear shorts and a t-shirt.
If you cannot attend the picnic, you MUST get clearance from Assistant Principal Kuder before Thursday! A written note from a parent is required!
Barbecue: If you would like a vege burger instead of a meat burger please let Bob and MaryAnne know by Thursday.
ECHS's Spring Music Concert & Art Show on Thursday, May 31st, 2012! Support your fellow classmates and friends as they glorify the Lord through their musical and artistic talents! Students will be performing a variety of music styles. Come and enjoy the artwork of our very talented art students! Admission is FREE and begins at 7:00pm. Hope to see you there!!!!!
Senior Parent Night is Thursday, May 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. Please be sure to attend this joyful celebration with your parents/guardians as we reflect on the community spirit of the Class of 2012 and look forward to graduation on June 13.
Trip to Italy and France—Spring Break 2013 - If you are interested in going on the 2013 Spring Break trip to Italy and France please check the bulletin board by room 5 for details. There is a $200 discount for early enrollment. To sign up for the trip, go to www.EducationalTravel.com/Login. It will take you to the NETC website/My Trip. The Username is Eastern Christian and the Password is Europe2013. The directions to enroll will be easy to follow. If you sign up before June 15, the price for early enrollment will be as posted. It is subject to change beyond that date. Once you've enrolled, see Mrs. Lindemulder for further details.
Spring Athletic Awards Night Athletic Awards Night is Wednesday, May 23 at 7pm in the Auditorium. The Athletic Department is requesting that all spring athletes attend to celebrate the spring athletic teams. Athletes are asked to dress nicely. Jeans, t-shirts and hats are inappropriate. The evening will also celebrate special awards presented to several senior athletes. Parents are invited and encouraged to join in the celebration.

Are you ready for the Banquet yet? Need a corsage or boutonniere? Look for the table outside the cafeteria selling banquet corsages and boutonnieres from May 23—June 4! Corsages are $20 and boutonnieres are $5. Choose from red, pink, yellow or white roses (sweetheart of regular size) or white daisies! Payment is due at the time of the order. Orders can also be taken on Facebook group: "EC Prom Corsage & Boutonniere sale!" Any questions, see Seth Stadtlander.
Locker Inspection - We will be having Locker Inspection Tuesday, May 29! Begin cleaning out your locker now. Make sure all food, garbage and pictures are cleaned out prior to inspection!
Attention Driver's Ed Class: If you recently completed the Drivers' Ed Class, and passed your final exam, please see Mrs. Pasqueretta today to pick up your certification paperwork and information on New Life Driving School. If you did not pass your exam, please also see Mrs. Pasqueretta to schedule a time to retake your test.
Attention Seniors:
SOAR: Please remember to sign up for SOAR by 3:00pm on Wednesday for your SOAR Options for next week. Please note: The final day of SOAR for this school year will be Friday, June 1st! Thank you one and all for your participation in our SOAR Options this year!
Junior/Senior Banquet - Monday, May 21 is the last day tickets to the banquet will be sold. Be sure to purchase your ticket during lunch outside the cafeteria. The price is now $100.
Juniors: You must attend school on Thursday, June 7 in order to be able to attend the Banquet. You will be dismissed from school at 11:45. If you are not in school you will not be admitted to the Banquet. Also, Monday, June 11 is a required school day for all Juniors. If you are not in school it will be considered an unexcused absence.
Yearbook Sale: If you want to purchase a yearbook, it must be paid in full by Friday, May 25, so that you can pick it up at the Yearbook Dedication Assembly on Monday, June 4. If you are not sure whether or not you purchased a yearbook, see Mrs. Lagerveld in the Front Office. Yearbooks are $120 for underclassmen. Please make checks payable to "ECHS." Yearbooks will not be available for sale at the Yearbook Dedication Assembly. If you do not pay for a yearbook in advance, a limited quantity of yearbooks will be available to purchase on Tuesday, June 5, during lunch in the Front Office.
Boys' Basketball meeting will be held on Monday at the beginning of lunch in Room 4. Coach Thompson will be here to meet all boys trying out for basketball and the summer league will be discussed.

Senior Reminder – If your plans have changed since you handed in your post graduation plans form, please be sure to see Mrs. Borduin so the change can be made where needed.
Scholarship – United Way of Passaic County Vincent D. Pavese Scholarship – for a graduating senior who plans to attend college and pursue a career in public service.
