2009-2010 Tuition Scale

At Eastern Christian School, we appreciate the commitment our families make to provide a Christ-centered education for their children. Although there is a monetary cost associated with this commitment, it is not an expense, but rather an investment – not only in your children’s future, but in their daily life. The tuition scale for ECSA parents with students in grades K through 12 is based on the number of children in the family and the grade level of those children as follows:

FAMILY SIZE: 1/2-day K: All-day K-4: Gr. 5-8: Gr. 9-12:
Oldest child $ 3,900 $ 7,800 $ 8,870 $ 11,230
2nd child $ 3,900 $ 7,800 $ 8,870 $ 11,230
3rd child $ 3,510 $ 7,020 $ 7,980 $ 10,110
4th/5th child $ 3,120 $ 6,240 $ 7,100 N/A

We also offer several options for Preschool, depending on the age of your child:

3-YR-OLD / 2-DAY: $1,730
4-YR-OLD / 3-DAY: $2,360
4-YR-OLD / 5-DAY: $3,650

OTHER FEES

Capital Improvement Fee:

  • There is a one time $1,000 fee assessed to all new families with students entering Grades 5-12.

Transportation Fee (per student):

  • $1,250 for round trip bus service

There is no midday busing for half day Kindergarten. Parents who live in towns that pay “aid-in-lieu” of transportation are required to fill out the appropriate B6T form for each child attending. This form must be filed with our Transportation Office in order to receive any funding from your town. The current reimbursement amount is $884 per school year per child in grades K-12

Eastern Christian Scholarship Program

We believe that Christian education should be available to all Christian families. To help those who cannot pay full tuition, the Board of Eastern Christian has established a Scholarship Program. The Board has allocated $660,000 for scholarship aid to EC students in grades K-12 for the 2009-2010 school year. All applications for this aid are handled in strict confidence. Likewise, we expect that all families receiving awards understand that their financial agreement is a confidential matter between themselves and the school. Failure to comply with this expectation could result in forfeiture of your award.

To apply for an Eastern Christian scholarship award, please click here for a link to the application form. Once submitted, the information you provide to the outside service will be analyzed and that analysis returned to ECSA for consideration. For returning students, this application is due annually by the first week in May. Preference may be given to applications filed by the deadline. The Scholarship Committee makes the final determination of assistance to be granted.

Scholarship awards notifications are mailed out in July. Once you have received your notification, you may submit a written request for review, or may appear in person to address the Scholarship Committee if assistance is not granted, or if you think that circumstances merit additional consideration.

Tri-County Scholarship Program (www.tcsfund.org)

Parents of High School students may also apply for scholarship awards through Tri-County Scholarship Fund, which is an independent entity. Please click on the link below for information on the fund and how to apply. This is separate from any ECSA scholarship you might be awarded. If you are a current recipient of a Tri-County scholarship, please note that you MUST REAPPLY ANNUALLY in order to be considered for a renewal. These applications are also due by the first week in May.

ECSA T.R.I.P. (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program)

This is a program run by ECSA whereby we are able to purchase gift cards at a discount and sell them to you at face value. The difference is returned to you in the form of a tuition credit twice a year. By involving your friends and relatives in this program, you can earn a significant credit to your tuition account.

Church Support

Many of our families come from churches that support Eastern Christian directly, both with their prayers and their financial support. If you need additional assistance in affording your tuition investment, please contact your church to inquire whether they might be able to assist you.

Your Tuition Solution (YourTuitionSolution.com)

If you find that you still need additional help paying your tuition, Eastern Christian School is registered with Your Tuition Solution to give you an option to finance all or part of your tuition. You can apply online with no application fee, choose the duration of your loan, and have low monthly payments with a fixed rate of interest. Please click the link above for more information.

What People Are Saying

Carol Byma

In the elementary school, teachers and staff incorporate their Christian faith in every aspect of a student's day at school. Morning devotions always remind us that our day, ourselves, our neighbors, and our world belong to God.
