EC Middle School Student Dylan Olsen’s inspiring story was too big to be contained in the walls of Eastern Christian. Fox News recently shared Dylan’s story.

Overcoming partial paralysis on his right side, Dylan plays baseball for the Clarkstown Stars. A sports fanatic, Dylan doesn’t just play- he’s the starting 1st baseman. Dylan’s baseball skills include catching and throwing with his left hand- a skill learned out of necessity.

“I want to prove to little kids that need motivation that you can do whatever you put your mind to,” said Olsen. In addition to baseball with the stars, Dylan looks forward to other activities as well.

“We commend Dylan for the positive attitude and desire that he exhibits,” said Mary Faber, Eastern Christian Middle School Assistant Principal and Dean of Students. “When Dylan describes in his own words, “You can do whatever you want when you put your mind to it,” his testimony goes hand-in-hand with the core values that we stress on a daily basis at Eastern Christian. We desire that all students would pursue the character of Christ.”
