Leadership is an important lifelong skill. At Eastern Christian, we are always looking to provide opportunities for students to serve as leaders in school. Serving as peer leaders in school give students an opportunity to learn leadership skills and understand that Christ-like leadership is often synonymous with serving.

As Christians, we need to remember that others are watching us. Being a good leader means setting a positive, godly role model for others and serving others in a Christlike way. One recent example of this took place in an elementary music class last week. Kindergarten students helped teach preschool students the words and motions to our spiritual theme song, Like Eagles.

Each year we choose a spiritual theme for grades PK-12. This year’s theme is based on Isaiah 40:28-31. The theme allows us to delve deeply into God’s Word and see what can learn about living a God-honoring life. We know that songs and music add another dimension to our understanding of God’s Word. Singing this song in chapel is a wonderful, outward expression of our hope in the Lord.
